    Pros : The display colors and resolution (800x480) are great, better than most GPS. The touchscreen is capacitive and is accurate and responsive, much better than typical GPS resistive touch panels. The map movement is smooth, updates quickly, reroutes quickly and is accurate for both 3D and 2D modes. Wifi with a built in browser is a real bonus for finding and getting updated local points of interest. This is an Android with GPS on top of it so it does have more potential. The s/w also now supports Canadian metric (km) units. Cons : the GPS user interface is not intuitive and requires some learning curve. Navigating menus and features is initially frustrating as they are often hidden, sometimes requiring a vertical soft swipe, other times a horizontal soft swipe, and other times the physical home button. Its just not consistent and not well thought out, and not like other Magellan RoadMate GPS. Fixed map detail color choices result in poor contrast like minor subdivision roads are white against light grey background and they almost disappear. Its not compatible with PC RoadMate Content Manager so you can't transfer your existing RoadMate address books. The Manufacturers support is split between the Magellan site for some things and SmartGPS site for others. I could only get the PC Browser Plugin to work with Internet Explorer (not Chrome) in order to connect to the unit and update maps and cloud sync content.

    this is an OK product but has some Canadian-specific flaws. Posted highway speeds is a major one. Shows only U.S. in MPH. Cannot change until Magellan updates by July 2015 (or so they tell me). An excellent search utility an traffic display. Good highway ramp interchange display. Screen is good and has night vision, Less expensive than equivalent Garmin and waaayyy better than TomTom!

    Q: Does it have lane recognition? I am looking for a GPS that will identify which lane I am in and direct me accordingly. Does this GPS have that capability?
