I initially had issues with the success of this product, due to living in an apartment and only having machines with no softener reservoir. I tried one of those downy rinse release balls, but it still did not work. I learned that the product does work very well, but you have to either soak your items in the solution/water mix or add some of the solution into the water/detergent before washing your clothes. I have a lot of tops that wreak of BO really bad-even after washing, but this solution gets the BO out finally! You may want to add an extra rinse cycle, as the smell of the solution can be strong after soaking,etc.
