Close but no

So close, but no. Almost the perfect tape measure, but a few flaws and ultimately a product failure. First, it is black. Too hard to find when it gets put down. Second, the hook is too aggressive and hard to detach after taking long measurements from ladder. Had to wriggle to try to get the hook loose, this led to a tear in the blade at around the 2" mark. Lasted about six months of use, if even that. Paid a fortune for it, so disappointed. Magnetic end is great if you are on scaffolding and need to fetch a strip of nails, but it's always covered in loose scrap when pulling it from the belt. Needs: easy to see colour, improved hook, get rid of the magnet. It had great stand-out, nice bearings, so close to being the perfect tape but it is not.

Expensive but so far worth it

Quality product. Magnet tapes shouldn't be fifty bucks but I had triangle money so it is what it is.

The hook broke off after about a month

a year ago

I loved this tape but I work in shipbuilding and it's just not durable enough. The hook broke off after a month or so of daily use.
