We use on carpet next to a stove to protect high traffic carpet from cooking spills. We replace when runner no longer sits flat, probably due to our walking on it and the runner gathering at appliance and wall.

A multi purpose product

Thinking outside the box, I used this to line the chrome wire shelving in a cellar to prevent items from tipping between the wire shelf. It cut perfectly and is sturdy enough that the weight of items don't cause it to stretch between the mesh.

A: Hello, this product is recommended to be use on carpets and not by the hardwood floors. The nibs may scratch the hard floor due to high traffic use. Thank you.
