I purchased this Dutch oven to use it on regular basis for making Indian cuisine. I tried dry potatoes and also worked well. Does not stick on the bottom. I am using Lodge for few years now and can say, with little care, cast iron pots are excellent choices of cookware. Wash after use, dry thoroughly with kitchen towel and apply drops of oil. This Dutch oven is big enough for 2-4 people. Before every use, rinse with warm water. Very satisfied experience

A: Oops... I didn't look at the photo before answering. The Dutch oven in the photo is not enameled. However Lodge does have a dutch oven that is enameled inside and out and it performs very well. I actually returned the Dutch oven in the photo as it was too small and I decided that the enamel version was better for my needs which is baking sourdough Breads and making soups Etc
