Odd hole size

Same as the other comments, is an oddball hole size, just smaller than 3/4". Seat posts displayed beside this mount on won't fit.

hole smaller than advertised.

I bought this yesterday and installed it in boat. I then tried to put a 3/4" Attwood seat mount into it but the hole is smaller than 3/4 ". I had to ream out the hole to allow my 3/4 " boat seat mount to fit. It is made by Leopard and not Attwood. It seems like a cheap knock off. Hopefully it will not wobble over time with wear.

Q: Is there anything else needed or is this a complete set to mount onto the boat and onto the seat? I am wanting to install this onto seat #79-4402-4

A: In addition to 79-4404 you would also need to have 79-4405-8 and 79-4406-6. 79-4404 is the base for the system which goes into the deck of the boat, 79-4406-6 is the pedestal that fits into the base and then 79-4405-8 is the seat mount which fits into pedestal and attaches to seat. This is everything you need for the system, with the exception of the mounting screws and bolts that are sold separately.

Q: How much clearance is needed for the pin below the plate? Does it come with mounting hardware?

A: We are not sure that we completely understand this question but we believe that you are asking how much room do you need below the deck of your boat for this to work and the answer is that you need at least 2.5" below the deck for this to mount in the floor of your boat.

A: The base is 7" x 7" in dimensions. The post is 11" high. It is compatible with the seat pin 079-4406 and the seat post (079-4405). These 3 parts make a complete 3/4" Pin Lock n Pin System.
