Great welder for the home shop

It's a great welder... It does not have the gas option or a 220v option but for the home hobbyist like me this is perfect... You can easily weld 1/4" and thicker . 2lb spools maximum. Small and compact and works perfectly.

Easy to Use

Great machine for flux core welding, especially for those with limited experience as myself. I had this plugged into a 25 ft extension cord and had no issues welding continuously.

Recommend for 1/8” up to 1/2”

Great welder for the price and size. Has noticeably more power than the mastercraft flux core that i’ve run for years. I’m limited with my baby 15amp breaker and was using a 12ga extension cord but was still able to weld 1/2” after preheating. Blew the breaker like 14 times but still very impressed for the size and price. I’ll probably still stick with my mastercraft for anything under 1/8” though

Yes, I recommend this product.

Everything you need except flux core wire

The lifting bracket on my mower deck snapped off after banging it into things too many times. I tried welding this with my Mastercraft stick welder with no success whatsoever. (I'm not at welding and haven't touched a welding rod in 20+ years). I saw this flux core welder on sale without knowing what a flux core welder was, and decided to give it a try. As I mentioned, this is my first time welding with a wire feed machine, and I think it went pretty well. With a bit of practice, I'm sure I could improve a lot, but I did manage to get it to stick. It's not pretty, but the mower is back in action.

1 Answer
  • A: La réponse est oui, mais nous recommandons le Weld Pak 90i MIG (K5256-1) SKU #058-0102 car un fil MIG de plus petit diamètre peut être plus approprié pour le soudage de matériaux métalliques plus fins.
