Connectors useless

The dimmer seems to be operating fine but it’s only been a few days. My objection is with the size of the provided wire connectors. They are too small to be of any use to connect any normal size wiring generally used these days. Had to provide my own larger connectors to connect two wires.

not dim enough

easy install but like most dimmers, its deep so hard fit into a shallow box. works well, but my complaint is that it does not go dim enough.. the lowest is still too bright. I am using high quality LED dimmable bulbs.

Q: Why does my light flicker? I've used these switches on fixtures with dimmable LED A19 bulbs, as well as dimmable integrated LED fixtures. The bulbs flash when I turn the light on, and/or flicker constantly. These were installed by my electrician.

A: I can only guess at the answer. I purchased a light fixture which named this dimmer switch as one that was compatible with the light fixture. There were three or four named compatible switches. I installed both the switch and fixture and have not had any issues. I can only guess that incompatibility of your lights and switch is the cause of the flickering

Q: What light bulb, carried by Canadian Tire, is compatible with the switch? We bought the Noma 40W B10 E12 LED dimmable bulb, but it either doesn't come on or when it does, it flickers like a strobe light constantly.

Q: Is this dimmer compatible with aluminum wiring?

A: Almost nothing is compatible DIRECTLY with aluminum wiring. However there is a common workaround that AFAIK conforms to electrical codes. You need to put a short copper wire between the switch and aluminum wire. It's important to use an anti-oxidant compound like GB Ox-Gard on all wires before twisting on a marette. I'm not sure if it matters whether the marette is aluminum or copper. Given aluminum's notoriety, it's not a bad idea to inspect all your switches and outlets.

A: Model number is 06674-732-PDW. It should be compatible as it is a LED dimmer, but best to check with light fixture manufacturer for compatibility.

A: No, it cannot be used for fan connection. For fan connection, you can use sku 1522553 (leviton part # DW4SF-742 slide version) or sku 0528605 (leviton part # 06616-732 rotary version).
