LEGO® Jurassic World™ Pteranodon Chase - 75926

Build time: 30 minutes for an adult with a little help from a 3 year old. It's sometimes hard to get your hands on a set that's sold out, it's often a stroke of luck when you find one in the store. We are now missing only the big helicopter to have all the models of that year. Two days ago, I told my son that I had managed to find a box with a new dinosaur, one with different colors. So, as soon as he walked by the box this morning, he asked me if we could build it, and since I wanted to do it too, we opened the box. I didn't have much help from my 3 year old son, because he was tired this morning, but he played with it a lot as soon as it was built. I asked him what his favorite part of the set was, without hesitation, he told me the vehicle. He's at the age where he likes to play with cars a lot. This is our second Jurassic World off-roader, we put together the first one a few months ago. It differs from the set with the baryonyx because it is a little smaller, but it has a net launcher to catch small and medium dinosaurs, which makes it a little more practical than the other one in case of a problem! This is a fun set to build, I didn't see any issues with it. It is even more solid than the other model when it comes to playing with it when the child is young. On my son's side, there are two things he would have liked: a roof on the vehicle (I told him there is no winter, that's why he doesn't need it and he agreed) and a baby dinosaur in the egg (I told him it would be really small - the idea of dinosaurs being born is great, it would be nice to have a set with an open egg and a baby dinosaur in it.)

Temps de construction : 30 minutes par un adulte avec un peu d'aide d'un enfant de 3 ans. C'est parfois difficile de mettre la main sur un set épuisé, c'est souvent un coup de chance quand on en découvre un en magasin. Il ne nous manque maintenant que le gros hélicoptère pour avoir tous les modèles de cette année-là. Il y a deux jours, j'avais dit à mon fils, que j'avais réussi à trouver une boîte avec un nouveau dinosaure, un avec des couleurs différentes. Alors, dès qu'il est passé devant la boîte ce matin, il m'a demandé si on pouvait le construire.Comme je voulais le faire moi aussi, nous avons ouvert la boîte. Je n'ai pas eu beaucoup d'aide de mon fils de 3 ans parce qu'il était fatigué ce matin, mais il a joué beaucoup avec dès qu'il a été construit. Je lui ai demandé ce qu'il préférait du set, sans hésiter, il m'a dit le véhicule. Il est à l'âge où il aime beaucoup jouer avec les autos. C'est notre second tout-terrain de Jurassic World, nous avons monté le premier il y a quelques mois déjà. Il se distingue de celui du set avec le baryonyx parce qu'il est un peu plus petit, mais il possède un lance-filet pour attraper les petits et les moyens dinosaures, ce qui le rend un peu plus pratique que l'autre en cas de pépin! C'est un set plaisant à monter, je n'ai pas vu d'enjeu avec la construction. Il est même encore plus solide que l'autre modèle quand vient le temps de jouer avec lorsque l'enfant est jeune. Du côté de mon fils, il y a deux choses qu'il aurait bien aimé : un toit au véhicule (je lui ai dit qu'il n'y a pas d'hiver, c'est pour cela qu'il n'en a pas besoin et il était d'accord) et un bébé dinosaures dans l'oeuf (je lui ai dit qu'il serait vraiment petit – l'idée de la naissance de dinosaures est excellente, cela serait bien d'avoir un set avec un œuf ouvert et un bébé dinosaure dedans.).

Like all the sets of this theme, this set has a terrible price to part ratio. On top of that, this set looks kinda ugly. The “jeep” is oversized compared to the minifigures, and the net launcher looks bad and doesn’t work like it shows on the box, as it shoots at different paces every time, even if you shoot it the exact same way. The pteranodon looks nice, and is cool to get. This set is also a cheap way to get Owen. For me, this set wasn’t a good buy since the main build is horrible and you pay $5 more than you should.

This set is the best set out of the Jurassic World Theme. The Car/Truck was a nice build. I really liked the Net launcher. I also liked that Lego added a girl soldier minifig. I'm glad they mixed up the gender in this set. Only flaw would be that I think Lego should have included a different dinosaur. Maybe a triceratops because Lego hasn't made one of them for the Jurassic World series yet. Overall Set grade, A-.
