LEGO® Friends Restaurant and Cooking School Set - 42655, 896-pcs, Ages 8+

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great Lego kit. My child enjoyed assembling it. This features several special food pieces that we haven’t received in other sets and it is nice it has a built in storage area in the roof for all the extra pieces. Great fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a cute set!! Look at the detail in the pieces! The colors are vibrant and will display so nicely! Love the cute cherries and other cute touches! Instructions are complete and pieces are sorted and numbered to make assembly easier to understand! I can’t wait to get more of these sets!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cute little Lego set. This will keep your child busy for hours..and I do mean hours.. box was a little out of shape. All pieces were intact though and when complete will look just like the pic on the front of the box

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are a huge fan of Legos, and both my son (10) and daughter (12) particularly love the Friends series. My 12 Year old assembled this set without help in approximately 3 and 1/2 hours. Lego never disappoints with clear directions and pieces organized by step. This is a bigger set so it includes the brick remover tool which I personally really love (once I got the hang of using it). Like other Lego sets we have enjoyed, this set is full of cute details. One thing we loved about this set in particular is that two of the characters come with face/ head options. One character has what my daughter calls a tasty face like she is tasting something yummy as well as a default face, and another character comes with a confused face as well as a default face. We also appreciated that a helmet was included for the scooter and whoever would be riding it. Another super fun detail we thought was extra cute was the sushi and the chopsticks which we had not seen in previous sets that we've had. We also appreciate the inclusion of a boy character, as my kids always wish for more boys in the Lego Friends sets. We also always love the inclusion of pets and the cute kitty cat was a fun touch. The only thing that we wished for that wasn't included in this set was an alternate hair piece without a hat for the chef character. There are a ton of extra little pieces for full play and posing options as your imagination allows. The doors inside open and close. This would be an incredible set for stop-motion animation projects. Overall, this was a really cool set and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys Legos or building or imaginative play. My daughter was completing similar sets with help around 7 and on her own by around 9. I would recommend adult help for sure under the age of 7 with a set this big. I would also 100% recommend this for adults, because I was completely jealous watching my kid put this together! 😁
