Great size, hot to handle

Bought this two weeks ago to make coffee at the office. I love the size because sometimes l will make coffee for a couple of colleagues as well, and most other available models come in either 500 ml (too small) or 1000 ml (too big). Also, l love the scientific look. However, there are two major drawbacks that were enough for me to return it: 1) The silicone sleeve is too narrow, and thus it is hard to hold and pour without touching the hot glass. 2) The screen inside the filter started pulling out, creasing, and snagging when put it back in, even though l handled it very carefully when cleaning it. Maybe it l had a dishwasher the wouldn't be an issue. As a sidenote, if the designers crimped the inside edge of the top, that would hold the screen in place as well as prevent grounds from getting wedged beyween the layers. I hope Logastina takes note of this review, because the carafe really cool and just needs a little tweak.

Great option for coffee at home

Just purchased one and love it. Takes a bit of extra time so it is more of a weekend item rather than a quick option but coffee taste great. You may need a small trial period but fairly simplistic. Only down fall is that since this is not on a burner the coffee becomes luke warm in the pot after awhile but I just reheat in the microwave which hasn't taken away from the taste. I did find it on sale at The Bay but CT price matched. Just check the pot for any chips or scratches before buying as the instructions say not to use if there are any.

Simple and well-made

The glass is thin but very durable. I like the simplicity of the design. I found this product for cheaper at a different retailer but Canadian Tire was able to price match. You can also cut off the silicone collar for an even more minimalistic look without losing the functionality.
