This plunger is a significant improvement over more traditional designs. Just make sure that you have the bottom firmly placed in your toilet bowl to prevent blowback and discharge.

I Spent an hour trying to clear the clog with my basic plunger. I then went out and bought this based on reviews (really based on the reviews of the one without the base, but appears to be a similar plunger). This one cleared the clog in less than 2 mins.
