The Kolpin Stronghold Gun Boot with Auto Latch Mount is designed for practicality and convenience. Measures 132 cm L x 12 cm W x 23.5 cm H, it can be attached to any off-road vehicle and its compact, low-profile design includes a removable impact foam liner. This gun boot securely stores rifles and shotguns up to 132 cm in length and features a single-handed attached lid opening for quick access. The integrated rubber closure strap, carrying handle, and feet enhance its functionality. The package includes both the Kolpin Stronghold Gun Boot and Kolpin Stronghold Auto Latch Mount System.

Mostly good, but I returned it to upgrade

The auto latch mount in this “boot and mount kit” is really cool. However I was less impressed with the actual gun boot. The gun boot is a Kolpin model 20740, aka their “L” model. Although it’s quite nice for what it is, I was dismayed to find that you can’t lock this gun boot closed. You can lock the boot to the mount, but there is no place to lock the gun in the boot. This was a deal breaker for me, so I returned this kit and bought the “XL-Impact” boot and auto mount separately. It cost more that way, but the “XL-Impact” model is lockable, and generally a nicer boot, what with that handle on the end and all the extra attachment loops. Also, the soft case inside the "XL-Impact" has a zipper closure, which the "L" model lacks.

Yes, I recommend this product.

A: I don’t think it will because the new sportsman have that solid plastic rack correct? These mount to the metal tube style racks.
