Bought for myself and my daughter in law, Only opened one, this is so much bigger than my 5 Qt mixing bowl. Not even close.

A: Hello MrDo! This is a good Question! This will fit 6 and 7 quart bowls but I believe that the bowl on the 5plus is 5 quarts so it should not fit! Hope this helps-Whirlpool Central Advisors

A: Thank-you. I believe that some of the confusion may result from the difference between a Canadian (imperial) quart and a U.S. quart. Our mixer states it is a 5 quart bowl and this product is advertising that it fits a 6 or7 quart bowl.
