Honestly, this is my first accessory for my kitchen aide. Was incredibly helpful for Christmas dinner! The slicer made it far faster to prep scalloped potatoes. Also comes with 2 sizes of shredders. Made veggie prep a breeze. Ordered it online and was able to pick it up the next day. Happy with my purchase!

Horrible slicer/shredder

The absolute worst product ever. I got this as a gift and tried it and the food, I tried both raw vegetables and cheese. They got stuck in the shredding blade and between the barrel that the blades fit into. I love all 3 of my kitchenAde mixers but this fresh prep slicer is trash!

Please provide an all metal version

I have had my kitchenaid mixer for many years. This attachment was very disappointing. Cheap plastic and nowhere near the quality of the mixer itself. Do not dry to grate hard cheeses and even soft cheeses slowed it way down. Please return to an all metal version of this attachment.
