DO NOT BUY! Bought one middle of October this year to replace an old Kidde hardwired alarm and they've changed the power plug (which is annoying), however, 6 weeks later its now dead. Started going off at 4am saying "Smoke sensor error", CO error". After trying multiple times, following the instructions to deal with the issue to no avail, this alarm is going in the trash. This alarm isn't worth $12 let alone 120 regular price. Also disappointed that Kidde changed the warranty policy so you have to pay to send it to them instead of taking it back to where you purchased it. This will be the last time I buy a Kidde product.

Standardize the mounting screw placement!!!!!

Knowing that smoke alarms need to be replaced periodically, why can’t every Kidde smoke alarm from this point forward have the same mounting screw locations??? It honestly can’t be that hard, can it? How many holes do I have to poke in my textured ceiling?

Q: How long does Kidde warranty this detector and what are the terms of the warranty? As a side note, this model is replacing an existing Kidde detector. The new model does not fit into the existing ceiling mount so I had to drill a new hole in the ceiling
