The P4010LDCS-WCA is a 10-year, sealed battery, single-station smoke alarm that features wireless interconnect capability, enhanced intelligibility for users and an LED safety light that illuminates when the alarm sounds to help guide your way to safety. The voice warning feature accompanies the 85dB tone during an alarm event, and helps reduce confusion with verbal announcements such as “Replace Alarm” at end of alarm life, and “Hush mode activated” when a nuisance alarm is silenced. The 3-colour LED ring helps users quickly determine standby, alarm, or error mode of the alarm.

Failed after less than 2yrs

Easy to connect wirelessly between floors, however both of the ones we got has faults less than 2yrs after purchase & within weeks of one another - nowhere near the promised 10yr life expectancy. Apparently a common issue & why they’re getting harder to find

Do no buy

Useless. Started chirping for no reason in middle of the night. Impossible to shut off as battery is sealed and can't be removed. Even turning off from electrical panel didn't shut it up. This company should be blacklisted.

Only buy enough to connect between discrete areas.

Out of the 5 we bought five years ago and 2 replacements, 4 of the alarms have failed with “Replace alarms “ within 2-3 years. Kidde’s warranty replacement policy is terrible as it cost more to send along with required return postage than to buy new. Buy only enough to connect between areas such as basement and upper floors or to another building like a detached garage .

No, I do not recommend this product.
