4 years agoA: Yes as long as you get the right pig tails that connects from your AV to your car. also for a piece of mind unplug your battery just in case your air bags deploys.

Q: What else do I need to ensure this works with a 2011 GMC Sierra (with steering wheel controls)? Could not find a 2011 compatible GM “wiring harness” on Canadian Tires website
4 years agoA: You will need a steering wheel adapter harness . Go to the Car Service counter at your local Canadian Tire Store for the proper harness.

Q: fit in a 2012 Chev Silverado pick up , and accept connectivity to an active onstar system/accessories for installation
4 years agoA: This stereo will fit a 2012 Chevy Silverado, a dash kit, wire harness and an antenna adapter will be needed in order to complete the install. It will not however connect to onstar, but I believe onstar is separate from the factory radio and should be not be affected by a new stereo install, please check with your Chevy dealer for confirmation.

6 years agoA: To install in a vehicle you will need a wire harness and probably a dash kit. In order for the Sirius XM receiver to work a SiriusXM Antenna will be needed. Antenna only as the receiver is built in to this JVC Stereo.
