Pretty much exactly what I needed to replace my "old school" cassette player on my "old school" 1985 Honda Goldwing. Works great.... CD'S will skip a bit if I hit a bump really hard, but I sort of expected that. Excellent value in a moderately priced entertainment package.

Q: Why is this being advertised as Android-compatible if audio was removed from the Android Open Accessory standard in Android 8? I tried to use this; no-go. "The only way to play audio from your phone with this radio is to use the 3.5 audio jack in".

A: It's not compatible with any current Android version. It also lacks Bluetooth and lacks support for the Apple gadgets - both by design. There used to be a droid app (JVC Music Play) but it is broken as of Android 8 (Oreo). The audio is also poor - it's fine with the volume set to 11 or 12 (on a scale of 0 to 50) but clips beyond that and is pure distortion if turned up to 18 or 19. The bass boost only makes it worse.

A: No this model does not have Bluetooth built-in, model KD-T720BT has Bluetooth (and CD) and so does the KD-X280BT however it does not have a CD player as it is mechless.

A: In order for this to fit, the sub-dash will need to be already cut, or, if factory radio is still in, will need to be cut. And then a wire harness, antenna adapter and even a dash kit will be needed.
