what a surprise

I bought this for a project and didnt expect much. Wow was I wrong! once I read a bit and understood the features this unit really saved me time. Got dropped a few times and kept on ticking. highly recommended

Q: Is it accurate in an open field and in bright sunlight?

A: This can be used outdoors. It is just harder to see the laser dot outside in bright sunshine.

Q: Can this measure in feet or can you choose to measure in meters?

A: Yes the main screen will display square feet/square meters or cubic feet/cubic meters in a decimal format when calculating area and volume. All information is provided in the user manual.

Q: Why do not use the manufacturer's prod. no along with yours? The specs show on your website about the product #57-4590-6 is for Johnson Level Laser Distance Measure 40-6001 whereas the in-store item is J.L.L.D.M. 40-6005.

A: 40-6001 is the original unit that was put in stores. This was upgraded to now be the 40-6005 model which has a larger effective range. Change was made at the time to address production lead time challenges and what is in stores now Is a superior model than the original model. Our website will be updated soon.
