Peat moss seed starters

Was able to purchase last 3 packs. There was 24 not 26 in each pack. I add small holes to the bottom. Great to start your seeds early in and don't have to transplant, put entire cup in your garden!

Q: Do the peat pellets that come in the starter greenhouses fit in these compostable pot? Would you recommend transplantation of peat pellets into tgese pits before adding to the garden?

1 Answer

A: Thank you for your question. The pellets will expand to 7 times their compressed height so they will fit however will take up all the room within. If your looking to transplant into a pot in effort to continue growth until time to add to garden we would suggest using one of our larger peat pots, a 4 or 5 inch round for example. These pots, filled with our seed starting mix, are designed just for this scenario or you can start your seeds within and stay with that pot until time to transplant.
