Sound is ok...they produce sound.

The sound is ok, they work. I like deep sound with thick, tight low end. I'm having a hard time getting that with these speakers. I was hoping these would give me that without having to get a sub.

Great speakers with OEM Stereo just Ok. But with an AMP they are GREAT!. I have a JBL GX-A604 Amp, with 2 channels to this speakers and 2 bridge to a woofer with the Peugeot 208 OEM System (Speaker leve input) and it sound AMAZING very clear detail sound with decent volumen.

Replaced all the speakers in my car with JBL - Club 6520 in the back, GX600C for the front with the GX302 for the mids. With the exception of the Club, all of these speakers were a significant upgrade to the system. Very clean sound with no distortion.

Q: Hi, is the voice coil of the main driver 3ohm DCR? If not, do you have any which are? I need mid drivers with roughly around 2.8ohm DCR. Many thanks

A: Supposedly 2.3 ohm. I see question is from years ago, but it may help someone else. I've used these components before and you have to use baffling and sound deadening to get the best response. I originally had 4 of them simply installed like the factories a lost bass. If you use foam baffling and sound deadening in your doors, the bass comes in very nicely and they handled a 100x4 amp nicely for over 5 years and were still great when I traded the car in.

Q: I have 4 JBL GX600CH speakers, and Pioneer GM-A6604 four channels amplifier. I want to connect the 4 speakers and a subwoofer to this amplifier. Is it possible? Can I connect 2 speakers to one channel? Is the 2.3 ohms of impendane is too low?

A: It'll make your impendence too low, your amp will see it as 1ohm unless you parallel them and lose power. You'll need a 4 ch dedicated amp of around 75w RMS per channel to get the best use of them, my amp was 100x4 at 2 ohms and set at about 70% gain and they were pretty loud with no distortion. I was happy with that and they lasted over 5 years of high usage, traded my car with them still going strong. Get foam baffles to direct the sound into your cabin and sound deadening in the doors, if you don't you'll lose bass, if you do, you almost won't need a sub.

A: These could be mounted on a free air or sealed box. If you'd like a better mid-bass response, then you can place it in a small sealed enclosure just big enough to hold the speaker, improving the overall sonic quality.

A: The frequency response for the tweeter is 2.5kHz - 21kHz. The crossover setting in the GX600C speaker is 3.5kHz @ 12dB/octave.

A: Gauge wires doesn't decide how much output it's going to get. Gauge wires have different sizes so it won't get too heated on the wires on high powered amplifiers.
