Brilliant simply

Bought it to replace my Mini Cooper factory speakers. I used a pair of 429s and 6 1/2 from the 609 components. Boy it changes the image. Since the car comes with crossed over outputs and the speakers low impedance simply worked great together. The only issue is the 429 casing is a bit big and it interferes with the side mirror switch so if I were to change anything I’d just use 329 instead of the 429 Just to give u guys an idea.. my other car has an audison voce 5.1 with all voce components coaxials and subwoofer

Q: What is the crossover frequency and slope between the woofer and tweeter? I'm getting a peak in my car around 8khz. Running off the factory stereo so no EQ available. Would flipping the tweeter polarity help with the peak?

A: Our JBL GTO 429 has a 3.5kHz crossover point and the slope is 12db/octave. Flipping the tweeter polarity will not affect the peak.

A: The Alpine KTP-445U actually provides 45W x 4 and the GTO 429 can handle up to 50W so the amp would work with these speakers.

Q: Can I still use these if they bottom out "part of the magnet is hitting metal" against my metal frame. As the sit at a angle in my kubota svl-95-2.

A: The GTO 429 does not come with gauge wires since the length depends on what car you will use.We recommend using 12"- 18" wires.
