Product Details

SteelStik is a hand-mixable, steel-reinforced, non-rusting epoxy putty that quickly repairs or rebuilds anything made of metal. After mixing, it forms an industrial-strength polymer compound that can be molded into shapes or used to build up, patch and repair steel components. SteelStik sets in 3-5 minutes and after 60 minutes, can be drilled, tapped, machined, ground, filed and painted. SteelStik cures to a dark grey colour, is rated at a tensile strength of 900 PSI and will withstand temperatures up to 300ºF.

Great versatile product for many repairs

Love this stuff. It is strong and can be molded as needed. It is easier to work with than regular JB weld (which is also a great product). I would recommend wearing disposable gloves when working with it, not bare hands. Once you mix it, then you need to move quick as it will begin to harden within a two minutes Only issue with it is that it will dry out after a few years in storage. Great product for so many repairs!

A: Our 8267CAN (J-B Weld Steel Weld) resists gasoline, but not 100% gasoline proof, especially with ethanol fortified gasoline.

Q: will steelstick stick to rusted metal?

A: Depending on how bad the rust is, it should be sanded with 80 or 36 grit sand paper. You want to remove all loose rust. Before applying, also make sure the surface is clean and free from oil/grease/dust.

A: This works on mulitple surfaces : aluminum, brass & bronze, copper, iron and stainless steel. It is great for household repairs, and is drinking water safe.
