Fried my motor!

First use, switch did not go off and fried my motor. Expensive repair now. Not Impressed

Garbage

Complete garbage as a marine battery box. The breaker/power switch is not waterproof and on top of the box got some water splashed on it and rusted out and broke. would not recommend if its somewhere it can get wet.

Nice features, good size, very spacious

Picked this up to house a roughly Group 24 size LiFePo4 trolling motor battery for my kayak. LOADS of room inside, but nothing to keep the battery from moving around. The easy fix was to slice a few sections of pool noodle, cut a slit in one side, then wrap it around the edges of the battery. Very solidly in place after that. But that's why I'm dinging one star. Otherwise it seems to work quite well.
The USB-A and C charge ports are nice, as are the two regular 12V sockets for accessories. Trolling motor connects to the external terminals with ease, and it's nice having the volt meter on top to see what your state of charge is.
It's not heavy-duty, the sides DO flex a bit, but it all comes together pretty well, is easy to understand and connect, and the strap keeps it closed up tight if you don't trust the clips on each side. They seem to work alright, but do not instil great confidence, even with a light, 23lb LiFePo4 battery. I'd be scared to carry an SLA/AGM battery in this by the handle ... maybe even with the strap.

Q: in specs, says for a 6 V battery, can this product be used with a 12V deep cycle batter?

A: Yes. It doesn't show in the listing, but the box the product comes in lists that it's compatible with a Group 24 or 27 battery. I just put a Group 24 sized LiFePo4 100Ah battery in mine and there is quite a bit of room around the sides. I used pieces of pool noodle on the corners to hold it firmly centered in the box. You could probably put 3 6V batteries in this. Two, at least.

A: Group 24 and 27, according to the packaging. I can only confirm Group 24 size - and there is plenty of space around it for larger. Group 31 **might** be possible, but I'd be cautious about that.
