So here's the story. I'm painting a bedroom in our house. One of the walls was a dark forest green colour and the new colour was a near white. Rather that put 2 or 3 coats of high quality paint on it to cover up the green, I thought it was more economic to cover over it with a primer that costs less than the paint. So I bought this latex primer. I was underwhelmed. I ended up having to prime it 2 times because it didn't cover very well. And the one thing that was really disappointing was when I was cutting in with a brush on the 2nd coat, it literally wet the first coat and smeared it off. I found it difficult to get the results I'm used to (using a higher quality primer like Cloverdale) with this primer. But it is flows easily out of the can into the paint tray and the name says. I will only use this product on projects where quality doesn't count.

Excellent product. Very good for covering the awfully dark burgundy that was on my garage walls.

Q: Hi, is this just for walls? EX drywall only, or can i use it on bare wood trim? Thanks

A: If it is on bare wood it can be used, might need to do a LIGHT sand afterward (with a 180 or 220 sandpaper), prior to painting.....for some wood it may raise the grain slightly, leaving a bit of a 'fuzz' on the surface that is easily sanded smooth prior to putting on the topcoat.

A: C'est le but de ce produit, être absorbé par la nouvelle cloison sèche. Il est tout à fait normal que le revêtement semble disparaître. Il n'est absolument pas nécessaire et inutile d'appliquer deux couches de ce primaire sur une nouvelle cloison sèche. Une couche et ensuite deux couches de la couche de finition. L'apprêt scellera la nouvelle cloison sèche.
