Robinets nouvelles générations. Triste!!!!!
Il faut revoir la conception de ce filtre afin qu'il s'adapte aux robinets sans vis de marque ''Gerber''.

Would not buy another kind

I have purchased two of these over a period of 15 years. I have tried other Water filters and find that this one is easy to use, handy and does not use too much space. Over the last few months, I have had a difficult time finding the replacement filters in the various Canadian Tires in my area. Hope this means that others are using it and not that they will be discontinuing the product. Please make sure that the stores keep good stock of the unit and the replacement filters. Thanks,

Q: Does this product use reverse osmosis filtration?

A: The Instapure Faucet Filter reduces lead, chlorine, taste and odour by activated carbon filtration. It does not use reverse osmosis (RO) technology. If you are looking for a reverse osmosis unit, you can buy the 62-1010 undersink RO system which includes a separate filtered water faucet.

Q: Can this be used to filter hot water - ie to filter bath water?

A: No, the Instapure Faucet Filter is not designed for use with hot water. It should only be used for cold drinking water. If you are concerned about your bath water, you can install a filter (such as 62-1023) on the main water line that will remove sediment, dirt, rust & other particulate matter from all the water in the house including the bath water. You can contact Rainfresh directly for more details on whole home filter products.

Q: do instapure replacement cartridges fit in the Waterpic system I have a Waterpic model F-2WU tap filter system. Does the replacement cartridge for the Instapure model F-2WU filter system also fit in the Waterpic same model number.

A: Yes, Canadian Tire carries the replacement filter cartridge for the Instapure Faucet Filter. Instapure model # for the filter cartridge is R-2U and the Canadian Tire SKU# is 62-1019-4.

Q: does this water filter reduce the amount of lead?

A: The Instapure F-2WU faucet filters (62-1014) does not reduce lead. It is certified for reducing chlorine, taste and odour only. You can special order Instapure model F5C which reduces 99% lead & parasitic cysts in addition to chlorine taste and odour.

Q: How do I know when to replace the filter? I'm not the only person in the house therefore I can't judge when 1500 bottles of water have been used, besides that's pretty hard to do anyway. Is there some kind of guide

A: The Instapure Faucet Filter (F-2WU) is rated for a life of 757L (200 US Gal) or 3 months whichever is earlier. So replace the filter once every 3 months or sooner if taste/odour returns.

A: The Instapure faucet filter model F-2WU (62-1014) does not reduce fluoride but has excellent chlorine, taste and odour reduction. For efficient fluoride reduction you can install Rainfresh RO system (62-1010)
