Two mats and a joiner kit or you'll be going back top buy another one and the kit.

The mat is made of quality materials but it is an awkward shape in relation to the stove; or any stove for that matter. To meet installation regulations you need to have two mats with a joiner kit in order to have enough extra floor coverage around and in front of the stove as required. With two mats you end up with a lot of extra floor coverage but better to be safe than sorry, I guess. The mat would not have to be made that much larger for one mat to be adequate in most applications but making money is the name of the game these days.

A: We haven’t cut ours, but they are quite thin and I would say if you had a grinder with a cutter blade it would cut fine.

A: Imperial stove boards are made of ULC listed “micor” material which is a non combustable heat resistant core. It is wrapped in cold rolled black matt steel. Imperial stove boards are for indoor use only and they can be installed next to a gas appliance.
