The HTH Green to Blue Pool Shock System transforms murky green water back to the ideal blue - perfect for pool openings or severe algae blooms. The system requires either two treatments for pools holding up to 20,000 litres of water or only one treatment for pools up to 40,000 litres. Simply follow the easy instructions and watch as the water gradually shifts from green to blue, allowing you to enjoy your pool again.

This is the 2nd year we've used it. Our pool was getting green with a bad algae buildup. Within a day, this product had our water clear again. Absolutely love it!

This product does work but be patient with cleaning/vacuuming the pool. The sediment that is caught settles on the bottom of the pool. Sadly as the vacuum gets going, the sediment gets agitated and mixes with the water and becomes cloudy. I have found run the vacuum for 10 minutes and turn the pool completely off to allow the sediment to settle at the bottom again. Then repeat. Every so often do a backwash on the filter to get rid of the algae. Slow process but i am seeing results.

Q: I have a 81000 L pool. Do I need to buy 4 of these? Nothing is working to change from green. Does it have to be put in a dusk?

A: It worked for my pool last summer. Yes, for a pool that size and based on directions you would need 4. You could also try just straight bleach as well.

Q: I just used this product. I followed the directions on the box and it looked like it worked. But now my pool is full of white/clear particles floating throughout my pool water after vacuuming. Has anyone experienced this? What should I do?

A: turn off your pump and let it settle to the bottom. I have an above ground pool and just a regular filter so I have to vacuum it out onto the ground but it has worked for me very well. Also check your PH levels, if to high it will just turn green again. I lowered mine with muratic acid then used clear it. Hope this helps.

Q: Last year this worked for us. This year it did not. What do we do next? We can't see the bottom so can't vacuum and it's now turning from cloudy white to green again. Please advise!

A: The reason for green algae is not just a lack of chlorine, but a bad pool water chemistry. Algae forms when pH is low and total alkalinity is off. Dumping pool shock into a pool where the pH is too low won't clear up. Your Ph and total alkalinity acts as a buffer for chlorine to do its job. Bring you ph up to between 6.8 and 7.6 by adding baking soda until your Ph is good, then shock your pool. Cheers and happy swimming in 2022!
