Perfect for Using with Peloton App

This is a great treadmill if you already have an app that provides running/walking and bootcamp classes for tread. I was going to buy a Peloton Tread or NordicTrack but settled on this one and glad I did. The peloton would have cost 2 - 3x more. The NordicTrack was competitively priced but does require you sign up for their IFit app. I already have a Peloton bike and pay for the app so I wanted a tread to easily interface. This one is perfect. It connects to my phone or tablet through the Peloton app allowing me to see my info either on the phone or on the tread. Love - Love - Love it. The only issue I wasn't prepared for was how to get it into my excercise room in my basement. Not easy. You are instructed to assemble it where you are going to use it. Buy we couldn't get the box into the house and down the stairs without removing everything from the box except the main tread component. Fortunately, two of us were able to get it in the house and slide the box gently down stairs. If you can have it assembled for you, I would say pay for it. It would be worth it.

Sturdy machine with quirks

The treadmill itself is great. Smooth, responsive, sturdy. I didn’t want to pay for a subscription so this is a great no frills option. My reasons for deducting a star: while the quick dials on the handles are great for quickly increasing or decreasing your speed or incline, I have hit them accidentally so many times, often without noticing as I’ll have headphones on and then all of a sudden I’m speeding up rapidly. Also, the start and stop button are so hard to press. I haven’t quite figured out all the pre-sets yet, but my runs have been ending automatically at 30 mins and then it takes almost a minute to get it re-set to start again, by which point I’ve lost my momentum. I’m hoping that by setting up a profile I can set it for longer.
Overall- great machine, but has some quirks.

A: To change from miles/pounds to kilometers/kilograms, press and hold the Incline Up (+) and Speed Down (-) keys simultaneously, navigate to ENG3, select P1, choose "kilometers" or "kilograms," and then press and hold Stop to save and exit.

A: The floor to ceiling in our basement is 87" and the height of the running platform is about 10"...My husband is 6'2" and he is fine with the height allowance. I hope this helps.

Q: Do the pulse rate grips need to be installed for the treadmill to properly function?

A: I thought that they seemed to be in an awkward position based on the pictures but they really aren’t in the way for the usage at all. They do have dials to quick adjust the speed and incline on them. I installed mine so I am not sure certain if not having them on would affect the functionality of the treadmill. I can say I didn’t think I would use them but the quick adjust feature is quite handy.

A: You don't need Wifi to start this thread mill. But you need Wifi to connect the bluetooth function.

A: The warranty is lifetime, but they don't respond to warranty requests. I have one that I've been trying to get help from them on for months, sent them everything they asked for, it's registered for the warranty, maintained exactly as the book recommends, but they just ignore you. Buy something else. This is junk.

Q: Horizon 7.0AT-04. Right pulse grip handle bar doesn't work so there's no quick speed (and half-speed) adjustment. Plugged/unplugged corresponding connectors underneath the console but still no joy. Speed buttons on the console works though.

Q: What will be the minimum ceiling height required to comfortable stand and run on this treadmill? I am 6 foot tall. How high is the belt from the ground?

A: Thanks for checking. The step-on height for the 7.0 AT is 8 5/8”. Our general recommendation for calculating a minimum ceiling height is to add 12"/1 foot to the height of the tallest user.
