Useless

Fell apart less than 6 months using once a week. First the roller assembly which i zip tied, then the attachments wouldnt stay on then finally the handle broke. Hoover customer service just said i misused it lol. On top that trying to buy parts doesnt work, when i put the part # at the hoover website, just shows "no found". To the recycling center it went!

Short lived for what I paid

With two dogs and three cats, we needed a vacuum designed to handle pet fur. To that end, it never failed to perform well, removing hair from carpets, floors and upholstery. The canister was simple enough that our 10-year-old could empty it, and I appreciated how easy the filter was to remove and replace. We had zero issue with it, right up to the day it began to make a different noise while in use. It didn't sound major, and my wife assumed she had just picked up a thick clump of fur. A moment later, it began to belch gray smoke. I quickly got it outside and sprayed it down, but that was clearly the end of this machine. This was in August, and had purchased this vacuum new in March of the previous year. For a $300+ vacuum, I expected a longer lifetime than 19 months. It should go without saying, that I would also expect the machine to not burst into flames when it does reach the end of its service life. We did buy another Hoover, since it is a name my wife and I both grew up with, but if this is where their quality is headed, it will also be our last.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Does the job for a bit

We haven’t even had this vacuum for a year and it already fell apart. The bottom plate that is used when selecting the flooring type fell off and we can’t figure out how to get it back on. No one from customer service will speak to us as our model is “unable to be registered” save your money and get a bissell. Their customer service is better and their vacuums last longer than 8 months. Nothing against Canadian tire this is a Hoover customer service and performance issue.

No, I do not recommend this product.
