Broken fan blade

I purchased two, one to circulate air in a travel trailer, and another to circulate air inside a boat. Opened up the first box. Seemed like it was factory sealed. First thing I noticed was one of the fan blades was broken. I immediately opened up the second box, and it's exactly the same thing. I will be returning them, and it's unlikely I will repurchase this same product. How can two in a row be like this?

A: On low it will drown out noise from the house and on medium it would do a great job on traffic noise. Just place the fan between you and the window or you and your bedroom door etc.
