Poor Customer Service

I bought this heater because I was concerned that my pipes were going to freeze. I brought it to my work and I opened the box and when I tried to plug it in, it kept popping the little circuit on the bottom of the heater I immediately returned it to get something else to which I was told. I could only get a gift card for the remaining amount of money because it was used. I then pointed out look at the receipt. I bought this 15 minutes ago. How could it be used? It is not working properly and I’m afraid to buy the identical one because now I’m worried about my pipes and fearful that is not gonna do the job that I needed to so I buy another kind which I don’t have a problem with. They were adamant that I could not get my money back. I asked to speak to a manager to which I got the same response. I could understand if I bought something and used it for a week and you could see there was actual wear on it, but the product was defective and I was trying to get my money back. This is poor customer service, especially in these times when every dollar counts. I have been shopping in your store a couple of times a week for work, but I certainly will be rethinking my position. I know this certainly isn’t an across-the-board policy for Canadian tire because I’ve never had this problem in one of your stores before.

It's likely fine but I tried to use to heat up my garage for a garage party on Halloween and I don't think it did much.

Q: Is the tilt adjustable? I’m hoping it can heat straight in front of it’s self vs tilted up as in the pictures.

A: It can't be tilted on the unit itself but, will operate with something wedged underneath to make it straight.

A: I use it to take the chill off in my insulated two car garage . It’s 20x20 x8’2” height . I turn it on for an hour and it makes it comfortable . I do live in Vancouver
