Doesn’t last

Stopped working 2 years after purchase. Kept in great condition, now it won’t collect water at all despite running in high humidity rooms.

Compressor stopped working after 3 months:(

Bought this late summer 2023, used it for 2-3 months max. When cooler weather came unplugged, covered, so would not get dusty, and plugged back in May 2024...compressor won't turn on, just blows cold air. Honeywell tried to help but thinks it's a blown circuit board. No longer have receipt so am SOL. Avoid Honeywell: defective products, poor customer support.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Wifi feature is a must have if using one of these in a location like crawl space where running a Dehumidifier was recommended by furnace technician to protect and extend life of furnace.
Dropped humidity from over 80% to 55%.
Self draining into sump pump well. And sends information to app on my cell. NOTE: You will need home WIFI to use this feature.

Works well, but not sure about quality of the catch tank.

The unit works really well. My only complaint is how flimsy the plastic is in the catch tank. I can see it breaking and then I will be stuck having to buy a new dehumidifier, just because they decided to save fifty cents worth of plastic.

Q: I use a garden hose to drain my current dehumidifier. Is there an adapter for the honeywell tp50wk to attach the garden hose to drain?

A: Yes, there is. Though the 1m length restriction in the previous answer is a bit misleading ... as long as the garden hose is angling down and gravity can work it's magic the hose can be much longer. I have mounted a drain hose to the wall in a downward slope into a drain hole in the floor. This works just fine. As the manual states; make sure the hose has no kinks.

A: I stand corrected: Just picked up a unit and it is a TP70AWKN. The 70 comes from the old measuring standard (pre 2019). With the 2019 DOE measuring standard the unit is spec'd as a 50 pints dehumidifier.

A: Hello ! There is a 5% threshold when the desired humidity setting has been reached. The
compressor will shut off once the relative humidity is 5% lower than your desired setting. The fan will
continue to run for up to 3 minutes to cool the motor and will then shut off. Operation restores once
the relative humidity is 5% higher than your desired setting.

Q: The manual and answers in this thread state that after the compressor turns off (when the humidity is below the 5% threshold) that the fan will continue to run for 3 minutes to cool off the motor and then turn off. My fan never turns off. Is my unit bad?

A: Hello ! There is a 5% threshold when the desired humidity setting has been reached. The compressor will shut off once the relative humidity is 5% lower than your desired setting. The fan will continue to run for up to 6 minutes to cool the motor and will then shut off. Operation restores once the relative humidity is 5% higher than your desired setting. Q: Can this unit be controlled remotely on a smart phone as long as it is connected to wifi? Or do you have to be within the house, or on the same wifi network as the dehumidifier?

remotely using a smart device, and to use voice commands through an Amazon Echo

Dehumidifier models). For the app to work, you need not be on the same wi-fi network as that of the dehumidifier. A: We have one and it works very well.
It stops automatically when the tank is full (with one local bell sound and sending a message to the designated iPhone), when the desired set level of humidity is reached, but not after 24 hrs as suggested, unless you set it that way.
