Good tool for the price

Used it to spray semisolid color stain on and under a deck. Worked reasonabley well but you gotta work fast because the nozzle will clog. I cleaned it easch time i refilled the sprayer. Cleaned it in turpintine and it performs well afterwards. I thinned the stain about 5 percent which also works . Water based stain was used. Great tool for the price.

This sprayer was an awful purchase. Did not work at all, resorted to applying my deck stain with a brush. Don't waste your money on this trash.

well worth the money

I purchased this sprayer to put a clear sealer on a wood deck. It worked great and sped up the time to apply the sealer. Clean up was easy as I used a sealer that uses a soap a water clean up. The tank and the many parts are made of plastic, so I was carefull not to break anything. The sparyer worked so well that I also put a tinted sealer on a 20 foot section of fence. Again, it took considerably less time to apply compared to a brush or stain pad, and clean up was easy. The one gallon size made it easy to carry while moving around. I highly recommend this product.

A: I used an oil based stain and it didn’t work! I think (even though there is NO information anywhere that says otherwise) it will NOT work with oil based products. Hope that helps

Q: Could this deck pro paint sprayer be used for concrete cleaner, etch, solvent based sealer, and acid or bleach,even other paint?

A: No. I ruined mine when I was using it for a solvent based sealant. Halfway through the job, it started spraying on its own without any pressure on the button and made a big mess.

A: As you would typically be using a water based material, in the Deck Pro, it's very easy to clean out using a garden hose. If using any oil-based material, cleaning is accomplished with mineral spirits. Any pigmented stains used in the tank may leave a color residue that cannot be cleaned, this will not interfere with any future use with any other products. A: We generally think of the Deck Pro being able to spray fairly thin materials. Stains, sealers, insecticide, etc. It may struggle with thick latex paint, especially spraying upward overhead. Thinning the paint should help. Good luck with your projects.
