This is amazing! You NEED this to get out odours!

I bought this for my partner last year for his smelly hockey gear, and it absolutely got rid of the stench that always lingered and never disappeared with any other detergent. He also started using it for all his workout gear to eradicate any smell. Even the old "baked-in" polyester odours are now gone. Our newest use is for hospital scrubs; they come out clean and odour-free each time, and are then scent-free for the hospital. Too bad this has been discontinued at our current location, this is a great staple for health care workers.

Great product to clean stinky sportswear

I often have to let sweaty workout clothes sit all day in a plastic bag after a morning or lunch workout (running, hot yoga or long cardio sessions). Needless to say, the synthetic fabrics build up stinky, hard-to-get-rid-of odors over time. This detergent is the ONLY one I've ever tried that actually worked to rejuvenate the clothes; removing all the smells completely! I was very suprised to have it work so well. I'll get a lot more wear out of my gear as a result. Hope Canadian Tire will restock in other stores!!!

Works perfectly on hockey equipment!!

I have bought this and used it on my husbands and my teenage sons hockey equipment. My husbands had never ever been washed before and it worked amazing! I did double to large load dose for his equipment but unbeliever it needed it. Now I wash their stuff every couple weeks-per month if I can during winter hockey season and it never ever smells. I throw everything in, except helmet and skates. Pads, gloves, all of it! Works like a charm. No more “hockey smell” ever again. Seriously try it, most amazing product.

Yes, it works

I was very skeptical, but this detergent does work. I soaked my gym clothes (a variety of synthetic and cotton items) in the washing machine (agitator, top-loading) for 45 minutes with 2 ounces of Hex (the recommended amount for large loads of laundry), then ran the items on a gentle cycle before hanging them up to dry. The odor of sweat was gone. These items had been washed previously with Tide, Cheer, baking soda, and vinegar; yet they rarely smelled perfectly clean. One attempt with Hex got rid of old, persistent odors. The only thing about Hex that I dislike is its smell--something like beach ball vinyl--which fades as the items dry, but doesn't disappear entirely. But that's a minor complaint compared to the results. My gym clothes are all dark, so I can't tell how effective Hex would be against stains and grease on light-coloured fabrics.

Really works on tough-to-clean synthetics

After using this product for a month, I can say that it works better than ordinary laundry detergent. Very little is required for a standard load in a high efficiency machine, so it is quite economical. It may take several launderings (with wearings in between being OK) to see the full benefit of the product, but the enzymatic action is quite good. I think it might even work well on hockey equipment, though I have not tried this. Tip: Never put synthetic fabric sports apparel in the dryer. Allow to air dry.
