Returning, doesn't hold together

Once the backplate was mounted, it was impossible to get the front to clip to it. Had to return.

LOOKS GOOD BUT DEFECTIVE

We chose this model because we found it to be the most attractive style of door chime in the big box hardware stores. We installed a matching set on our duplex and they have both been faulty from the start. They have a cheap clear plastic mounting plate, but the most important problem is that the button (interior rectangle) sticks when it is pressed thereby activating the doorbell inside the house causing a ring followed by an electric buzz that continues unless you release the button outside. One time we noticed our doorbell was no longer working. We checked the door chime outside and it was stuck (again) but even once released the doorbell was not ringing. When we unscrewed the doorbell cover (inside the house) we realized that the door chime had remained activated while we were not home and the wire had overheated causing the inside of the doorbell cover plate to become dark brown...perhaps a prequel to an eventual fire. This product is DANGEROUS!

Clear plastic mounting plate and clip does not hold housing in place (i.e. housing pops away from clear plastic mounting plate). Cheapo Phillips screws. Looks pathetic for the price.
