The Hamilton Beach Programmable Defrost Slow Cooker makes life easier by safely defrosting frozen meat and cooking it to perfection in one appliance. It has a customized temperature profile that knows how to defrost and cook to USDA food safety guidelines without overcooking. Simply add frozen meat and other ingredients to the slow cooker, press defrost and set your cooking temperature and time. When your food is ready, the slow cooker automatically switches to warm. The slow cooker also includes a temperature probe that lets you cook large cuts of meat to your desired temperature, then automatically switches to warm when food is ready. You can also cook the traditional way with this slow cooker's program and manual modes, which let you set the timer from 30 minutes to 24 hours on high, low, or warm or select a temperature without setting a time.

Q: How long is the warranty? This model on Hamilton Beach's website says it has a 5 year warranty, but Canadian Tire only lists 1 year.

2 years agoA: Thank you for your question. The slow cooker has 3 different settings. Frozen meats will need to be cooked on defrost mod without the temperature probe.
