      Awful food processor

I bought this blender & food processor 2 years ago. It's awful. I am sad every time want to make something that needs to be processed. It is very difficult to get the lid on the food processor properly. When you do, you wish you hadn't. This thing struggles with everything from pesto to hummus. Two stars because the blender part is passable.

      So dumb

This blender has the potential to be great if the design didn’t leave a small whole in the top that sprays any liquid out of the top. Returning it today after first use.

      Trash able der

I bought this when I first moved into my place 4 months ago and maybe used it 3 times since because it is the most difficult small appliance I own. When making a smoothie, it get stuck on the fruit chunks and then turns the blade but nothing gets chopped. This happens every 3 seconds it’s running. I end up with a chunky smoothie and 20 minutes wasted every time.

Burned out on first use trying to blend hummus

This blender can't even blend boiled chickpeas. I bought the Hamilton Beach blender at Canadian Tire yesterday. I washed the glass jar, cutting blade, and lid. I read the instructions, noted the "do not run for more than three minutes". I proceeded to start blending cooked and cooled chickpeas, along with the other ingredients for hummus. First batch is blended for two minutes. The blender is then off for over five minutes while I switch out the contents for new ingredients to blend. Within one minute of starting to use the blender again, the blender seized up and smoke started coming from the base. I will be returning it today. Afterwards, I successfully used my 40+ year old handheld Sunbeam Mixmaster to make the hummus.
