    I'm Happy With These!

I bought this set to use for making soup, jams, and other things that require a large pot. I love that the set contains all of the sizes that I actually need and use - rather than buying individually. The pots 'nest' nicely for storage (including the lids) which means they don't take up a lot of space in my cupboard. It's worth noting that they're light weight which means they're not ideal for anything requiring a "heavy bottomed pan" but it also means that they're easy to move around on the stove when I'm cooking. No issues with rust - but I hand wash and dry them thoroughly after using them. There was some black 'grease' around the rivets that hold the handles on - I easily washed that off before I used the pots for the first time. They're not fancy, or elegant - they're just right to get the job done!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Q: Are these pots 18/10 stainless steel?

    2 Answers
    • A: Yes, they are 18/10 stainless steel. The first number in 18/10 stainless steel refers to the percentage of the alloy that is made up of chromium. In order to be considered stainless steel at all, that number must be at least 10.5%. A higher value of chromium means that the protective layer will be thicker and will repair itself more quickly if damaged. Therefore, 18/10 stainless steel has a high level of chromium, and will be more resistant to staining and corrosion. Chromium alone is not enough to create the most durable and beautiful stainless steel cookware possible. The addition of another element to the alloy increases the effectiveness of the protective layer that forms over the steel surface, and also makes the cookware gleam more brightly. That element is nickel.

    • A: Thank you for your question regarding our stockpots and if they are induction friendly. In a nutshell, the answer is no, they are not. Cookware that is induction friendly will be marked as such so as not to mislead the consumer.
