Q: Can I use this to clean out carbon deposits from my EGR valve?
2 years agoA: Hello Col_Chuckles. Thanks for your question on cleaning your EGR Valve with Gumout Small Engine Carb & Choke Cleaner. The deposits on an EGR Valve are typically carbon deposits duet to the exhaust gases that pass through the valve. In most cases to properly clean an EGR Valve it must be removed, and depending on the amount of baked on carbon deposits, you will have to manually scrape off as much carbon as you can, then use the aerosol cleaner to clean the remainder and reassemble the system. Q: Can you use this product for a carburetor on a propane generator ?
3 years agoA: Hello Juan, thanks for the question. You did not specify if the carburettor you are cleaning is on the generator or has been removed for servicing. In either case, yes, you can use the Gumout Small Engine Carb & Choke Cleaner to clean the carburettor on your propane generator. If you are cleaning the carburettor on the unit, we would recommend that the unit not be running when you clean it and that you allow the fluid from the spray to evaporate off before restarting, as the deposited liquid may cause the unit to stall or backfire. Q: Is this a good product for an older car with a 4 barrel carburetor to clean it and free up the choke and linkage.
