works great for the first few years. Will not start after 2nd year if lucky.

I have bought three of these each time i was assured they had fixed problem. they haven't. When working they kill a lot of mosquitoes, but can not get them fixed even using the methods they recommend they still will not start.

J'ai utilisé le produit pendant une semaine et seulement quelques moustiques ont été capturé par le panier. Ca été plus la bande collante qui a capturé les insectes mais cest beaucoup trop cher pour son efficacité. Nous allons revenir a la bonne vieille methode des chandelles a la citronnelle.

1. Used this product in a mosquito infested place from 4:00 P.M. To 10:00 A.M. The catch was what I could personally kill in five minutes.
2. Upon approach of the unit I was majorly attacked by mosquitos though it is supposed alleged to have a range of one acre.
3. Upon a second approach to the unit I held my breath and blew on it. The Mosquitos them immediately came up out of the grass to the unit but were still not drawn in to the target zone to meet their demise.
THIS PRODUCT IS A JOKE : DON'T BUY IT !!!
No, I do not recommend this product.

The placement of the Mosquito Trap will greatly affect the success of the unit's ability to capture mosquitoes. The largest amount of mosquitoes will be captured by positioning the Trap approximately 30 to 40 feet away from the location you want to protect, in a down-wind direction towards where mosquitoes are living (trees, bushes and water). It should not placed anywhere near where you are frequently in the yard. The mosquitoes will be attracted to the Octenol cartridge so it's normal to be attacked if you go within 30 to 40 feet of the unit. The mosquitoes do get chopped up in the fan motor before they even make it to the catch cup so you may see just pieces inside the catch cup. Results for the unit may take approximately 2 to 4 weeks. For best results it is best to run the mosquito trap continuously just before mosquito season starts and run it all through the season to catch and kill the most mosquitoes. Hope the information we provided will aid you in operating the Mosquito trap correctly to benefit and trap mosquitoes.

We bought this last summer and it works amazingly well. We camp in the bush in northern Ontario so mosquitoes are more numerous ........took care of the problem.

I've had my trap for several years and it has caught mosquitoes by the thousands for me. High winds have blown out the flame now and then, but its easy enough to re-light. The sticky tape really helps grab those bigger blood suckers that may not get pulled into the cup.
