A “normally” used battery can last over 1000 cycles. A cycle means that the battery goes from fully charged to empty and then fully charged again. A battery is considered a consumable and over time may lose the ability to store the same amount of energy as it did at the beginning of its life cycle. In optimal conditions 80V lithium-ion batteries typically have a lifespan of up to 2,000 charging and discharging cycles (1,000 with a rapid charger). Hello Justin. We are sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with the run time of this battery. The run time varies depending on the tool that it is being used in but also the load acting against the unit while in use, as mentioned when the claim was processed. Please know that batteries in the same voltage platform will ultimately perform the same but the run-time/cuts will vary. The higher the ampere-hour (Ah) rating is, the more run-time/cuts the battery has to offer.
