I got a dud, but more disappointed with Canadian Tire return policy.

The one i got was a dud. It wouldn't run, but when i tried to cut wood, it would get stuck and became unusable. I adjusted the tension, but to no avail. But what surprised me was that Canadian Tire won't refund for defective material.

Impressive saw; however, the included 2.5Ah battery lacks. While I did manage to easily cut a 16” diameter tree it made about 10 cuts on a full battery. I bought it to keep in my Jeep for the random fallen tree in the winters. Would like to test out the longevity of the 5Ah battery. As is it would be a fiver star item for brushing and small jobs around the yard.

Très facile d'utilisation, lente un peu au départ, donc plus sécuritaire, J'ai coupé 4 arbres de taille moyenne pour la première utilisation. J'aurais aimé que la batterie dure plus longtemps mais dans l'ensemble je suis très satisfait.

A: Thanks everyone. I thought so. When I. Ought this I asked about getting oil for it and the kids working told me no. I couldn’t believe it. I read the manual and found the oil reservoir. Turns out the kids were confused by the term auto oiler.

Q: Will this work with my 60V, 5Ah battery from my Greenworks lawn mower? What would the total weight be?

A: Hello Hutchoo - Thank you for asking. While all batteries are physically compatible with all tools in the same voltage line, the optimal weight distribution requires the use of either our 2.0Ah or 2.5Ah battery models for chainsaws. This also reduces the chance of kickback when saw in in use.

Q: Is it possible to buy the Greenworks Chainsaw without the battery charger. I have the Greenworks lawnmower with battery and charger so don't need another charger.

Q: What is the projected battery life of the battery, is it based on how many times it is charged or on time (such as how many years) before it needs to be replaced?

A: Hello RoyCS, The overall battery life is dependent on many factors such as where they have been stored, charged, and handled. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. It is recommended to store the battery with a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, to check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we advise charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. Following these steps will ensure you receive the most of the battery life. If the battery has been stored with little to no charge for a long period of time, the battery will go into recovery mode, which will take 24 hrs to recharge. This helps enhance the life of the battery. Once it is fully charged, the next charge will return to standard charging.
