    Questions

    1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Q: will this work on bolts to?

    4 Answers
    • A: This tool will work on any fastener whose shank diameter is at least as great as the tool's bit diameter. For a bolt head, just use the tool's drill bit end to make a hole in the head, then flip it around and apply the extractor end to that newly made hole. Apply LOTS of downward force and use a low drill speed during extraction. Penetrating oil and heat are also advisable preparatory measures.

Q: will this work on a alan key screw

    1 Answer
    • A: Yes, it works on pretty much any fastener whose shank is at least as large as the extractor's bit diameter. An Allen key screw can likely be extracted using this tool without the usual first step of drilling a hole into the fastener head.
