Could not get the app working

Bought these for my daughter’s room. The physical quality was decent, they have a nice rubber coating protecting everything. Set them up in place and could not get the app to connect to them. After scouring the web and finding tons of comments where people had the same issue she called the help line on the included card. They answered fairly quickly and were moderately helpful but basically we were told to plug it in right next to the Wi-Fi router and set it up there, which required us to uninstall from her furniture (which was annoying) and actually didn’t work either. We returned it and bought another brand. They’d be ok if you aren’t interested in controlling them via the app.

Please ensure your internet is split into two bands 2.4GHz and 5GHz as our LED lights can only connect to the 2.4GHz network. Geeni makes a good affordable product on almost all categories - their LED strips being the best. Easy setup and reliable performance. The app is very intuitive - it was easy to set up a timer and choose different colors. Easily recommendable.

A: It is up to you. If you’re idea is under a kind of protected area like a gutter it wouldn’t be too bad. The distance on these are short keep in mind. 10 feet sounds like a lot but not really

Q: Says you can’t cut. Do both pieces still light up or do you only use the one side and discard second piece. I want to use it under my cabinets in my kitchen but I would need two pieces not just one. (One long and one very short)

Q: Can you join 2 sets together? I just purchased 2 sets but I don’t see any coupling or joiners to link them both together?

Q: Two questions! 1. Can you link multiple lights together? I would like to have a 15 meter strip outdoors and ideally only connect it to an outlet at one end. 2. I would like this to be on the outside, is the entire product able to work in -30 temperatures?
