Didn’t last.

Had it just over 90 days, there is no local recording and it wouldn’t stay connected to wifi.

Just buy the Hawk 3 instead!

This camera is OKAY overall. I've had it for a few years now. It works okay, BUT it's totally obsolete. Just buy the newer Hawk 3 model instead. The new Geeni Hawk 3 is pretty much better in every respect. Wider angle of view, faster frame rate, etc. Most importantly, the Hawk 3 is CHEAPER in price. I have both Hawk 3s and Hawk 2s and the Hawk 2 has more connectivity problems. Honestly, the only good thing about the Hawk 2 is it's the only Geeni camera that comes with a micro SD card, albeit the card is a low quality no name piece of garbage. Unless you can find this camera on clearance for $1, in my opinion it's just not worth it.

Easy setup. Great for the front door or back

Fairly easy setup. Took a bit for the phone side to connect. Wish it had spot for mini sd card. When you review it on your phone. It’s only picture. Not a little video. Might be different if connected to iCloud

Q: I'm wondering if you can save individual files to send to a computer to play if you need to share footage of an incident. Security Camera footage is useful to send to police for investigation. Also at night can a person tall the camera is recording?

  • A: Yes you go into playback of that camera and you will see a option to record or screen shot, you can record the time code of whats playing, you will then find the video a short time later in you photos/albums and you can view the recording and upload it to your PC via dropbox or google drive
