Product Details
This high performance silicone sealant from GE is ideal for protecting areas exposed to harsh weather. The sealant is rain ready in just 30 minutes and provides 10 year protection against mould and mildew growth. It is over 40% more flexible than standard sealant and adheres over 5 times stronger than GE's basic silicone sealant. The sealant also has low odour thanks to its neutral cure formula and won't discolour most metal finishes like chrome, bronze and nickel. Use it on windows, doors, siding, trimming, baseboards, vents, around pipes and wires as well as crawl spaces and attics to weatherproof and seal gaps against water and air leaks for years.

Questions
Q: Does it work for Bathtubs?
8 months agoA: I notice that the colour indicated on the tube is BLACK…I have only ever used that black silicone outside…I have used it in conditions of wet and cold, on concrete to replace expansion joint material and between concrete and wood. If you are worried about mold, it may happen a some point…it does claim to resist mold, but you will likely never notice it between surfaces like tiles and tubs…given that mold is black. Done properly this sealant would offer a sharp contrast between light coloured tiles etc

Q: Does the GE Window & Door Silicone II in BLACK cure to a shine or dullness?
3 years agoA: It does have a sheen/shine when fully cured. Over time as the surface is bombarded by cleaning agents and possible abrasive/scrubbing, it will lose some of its sheen

7 years agoA: This product is not Aquarium safe. We recommend: Product 67-0837 - 299 ml Clear Silicone I or 67-0829 - 82.8 ml Clear Silicone I Squeeze Tube as replacement.

Q: Can this product be used to seal the gap between joins in guttering?
12 years agoA: The product (67-0858) is a Window/Door Exterior, Black product. Features as follows: 100% silicone, 3 hour rain ready, sun/freeze proof, waterproof, flexible, shrink proof and crack proof. Will adhere to both metal & plastics. The product would be applied on the inside of the gutter on the seam. The other item I would like to suggest for the customer’s consideration is #67-0878, Gutter and Flashing which is specifically designed for this application.
