It Died Today

We purchased in August 2015. We have been happy with it until today. It died this morning. It will not heat anything. I feel like it should have lasted longer than 3 years. And when we bought ours - with the same JES1145 WTCT - it had 1100 watts.

Failed to heat

I bought this product in Aug 2014 and today this broken down. It no longer heats up, when the programme is selected. After searching i found out that it needs replacement called magneteron. i called GE they said it is no longer under warranty and they suggested me to buy new one as the repair costs same as buying a new one. really sad. microwave cant even last more than a year??

Nous avons acheté 2 de ses micro-ondes pour une utilisation dans une cafétéria (utilisation commerciale) à très haut volume et ils sont très très fiable, mieux que toute les autres marques achetée en 20 ans. Parfois ils font des petits bruits curieux (bruits de moteur ou de mécanisme), mais ils fonctionnent toujours A1. Je les recommande beaucoup, nous en achetons même 2 autres présentement pour agrandir la cafétéria!

Q: Stopped working hi there i bought the GE 1.1 cu.ft. Microwave with Product #43-1745-0 maybe 13 or 14 months ago (i'm trying to find the purchase papers!) and all of a sudden it stopped working. what can i do? thank you

Q: Anybody finds it's noisy when running Just bought it and it does a loud "hummm" when running. Anyone else experiences this?

A: Yes, it's louder than average. It also develops buzzes along the seems and edges, over time, because of the vibrations. It's also got a loud beeper. It always mystifies me when the beeper is going off and you open the door, that the beeper keeps going until it gets it's 3 beeps out. Obviously, you know it's done because the door is open, but it keeps on telling you.
