The directions on where to place the batteries are inside the lid that screws off .... need light and magnifying glass but well worth it :) I bought them for emergency and power outage

Best Flashlight Ever!!

I purchased this flashlight last night and it is awesome!! I didn't believe it would light the distance it said but it is incredible!! I live in the country on a large piece of land and I need to check for wildlife before taking my dogs out at night. I was using a small Maglite that I paid way to much money for and have had constant problems with. I'd be away from the house with the dogs and the flashlight would go out or if you bumped it it would switch from high to low. I was ready to send it back to Maglite. Bought this Garrison and it is the best. With the Maglite I could pick up one of the driveway markers WAY down my driveway and just be able to tell what was driveway and what was lawn. With the Garrison you could hold a broadway play down there and that one flashlight would be the spotlight!! You could see the lawn, the driveway, if a person was there I'd be able to tell who it was. I have to spot for coyotes as we currently have 2 around and I am some glad to have this flashlight!! At that price I'm going to get a couple of more and throw out all these others as I've been trying to find a flashlight like this for a long time!! Thank you Garrison!!

Q: How to install batteries in this flashlight? HI I just bought this flashlight and have tried to install the 4 batteries in all the possible ways but it doesn't work. What is the correct way to install the batteries please so I can make sure I am doing this right before I return the item. Thanks

A: When you unscrew the tail cap of the 65-3061 light, and look on the inside of the top ring of the battery cavity, there are tool markings with a + (positive) on one side and a - (negative) on the other. On the side with the + side you load 2 batteries positive side up, and on the – side you load 2 batteries negative side up. Batteries are clearly marked with + and – markings.

Q: Was recently given a garrison flashlight item number 065-3061-2 as a Christmas gift. Does not seem to work. Batteries test ok. Any ideas?

A: If the batteries test OK and are in the right way, it may be defective. I you can obtain the receipt from the gift-giver you can take it to any Canadian Tire store for warranty exchange. Warranty exchanges without a receipt are provided at the discresion of the store.
